Uña de Gato is a psychedelic Amazonian cumbia band founded in Finland by Samuel Villodas.

Blending Latin American tropical rhythms with electric guitars inspired by the psychedelia of the 1960s and 1970s, the band creates a sound that is hypnotic, intense, and irresistibly danceable.

For more than a decade, Uña de Gato has brought together musicians from diverse cultural backgrounds through the rhythms and sonic traditions of the Peruvian Amazon. Today, the band unites artists from Peru, Chile, and Finland, combining musical traditions and cultural roots that give their sound a distinctive authenticity.

Drawing inspiration from the mystery and energy of the jungle, their concerts take audiences on a vibrant sonic journey where Amazonian tradition and psychedelia meet in a celebration filled with color, rhythm, and groove.

Uña de Gato’s gig is part of a collaboration between Etnosoi! and the Funky Elephant Festival, both taking place during the same week in November this year.
